#61. Cruisin' Through Summer

It's been a couple of months since the last post, but the twins have been active and enjoying the summer weather so far.
They're having so much fun they can barely handle it!

Summertime means more Daddytime thanks to his 73-day weekend (aka summer break)

Summer time also means cute outfits...
and stylin' shirts to wear!!
Some of the twins' summer activities have been favorites from last year, like hitting up the Andersonville Farmer's Market on Wednesday afternoons.

Last year they were just starting to stand...

which means checking the parking meter coin dispenser is this year's new milestone

Not one coin was collected during this trip to the Farmer's Market

Clare played 'peek-a-boo' with the trees...

and Luke, knowing his dad, found where they sell the good stuff!

We made a pretty good haul this day at the Market...zucchini, squash, and cucumbers were all in season

Someone enjoyed transporting the harvest home, while someone else couldn't wait to take a bite

We once again visited friends in Wisconsin and boated on Whitewater Lake.

Last year they were entertained by bath toys and bottles of booze...

while this year they were more about enjoying the ride

'Sassy-looking' Clare looked on...

while 'Captain' Luke took us for a cruise

The playground and parks still remain popular destinations.

Sliding never gets old...

and as far as driving goes, this will have to do for the next 14 years!

These two...

aren't the smallest on the playground anymore

These two also never saw a puddle they didn't want to jump in!

One of the twins' favorite park activities is blowing bubbles.

The twins could blow bubbles all day...

even though we grow tired of the never-ending bubble mishaps/spills

Clare even translated her skills to weed pollination...

while Luke continues to work on his technique!

We've taken several wagon rides over to Clark Street in Andersonville.

These two love dining al fresco

One night the twins experienced Andersonville's famous 'Puppet Bike' show.

Last year, the twins spectated from afar

This year, they got up close...

and personal...
and even tipped the entertainment

The most exciting thing about Clark Street in the summer is that it usually involves stopping for ice cream.

Look at these two digging in!

I scream, you scream, we all scream (and smile) for ice cream!!

Finally, the onset of summer came with a new addition to the family.  We recently purchased a new car!

For those having '2 years' in the 'how long will they last with twins in that tiny Accent' pool (which we did despite all the doubters!)...
meet our new, family-sized Mazda 5 (or as Luke likes to call it 'Daddy's blue car')

The twins love facing the front.  It might also be the first time they have realized that we have been driving the car this whole time!

First family 'new car' ride (even Trig came along for the ride!)
