#66. 'Full Fall' Part 2: Return to the Pumpkin Patch

As is tradition in our family so far, no Halloween season is complete without a visit to a pumpkin patch!

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy,

bet we can tackle a lot more of these things this year!

On our way in, we made a quick detour to the obligatory 'How Tall This Fall?' wall.

They've come a long way...

since their first trip to the pumpkin patch!

Our first stop inside was to see the giraffes.

Last year, the twins admired them from a distance,

but this year they were (with a little coaxing) up close and personal!

Next up, was the 'pumpkin-eating dinosaur'!

Roar!!!!

This proved to be the 'main event' last year for Luke...

but this year Clare was more intrigued and brother Luke was not so much (though he still talks about the dinosaur daily)!

This year, the twins had enough attention span to take in a few pig races.

Go piggies, go!!

The twins show their appreciation for a great race!

Feeding and petting animals was also a big draw.

Two years ago, the twins fed from the baby carriers;

last fall, they fed from the wagon;
and this year they were running from cage-to-cage!

I see many a zoo in our future!!

Before heading off for more fun, the twins poked their head through the 'your face here' cutouts.

From sunflower and rooster,
to 'American Gothic',
to a not so enthused goat and semi-happy pig!

At least this little piggy gave us a smile!

The rest of the time at the patch was spent taking in attractions, both old and new.

The twins tackled (or were tackled by) Charlotte's Web,

drove a pink tractor,

counted pumpkins with 'the Count',

and found something familiar to slide down!

The last attraction the twins visited was the 'Corn Box'.

Last year, only 1-year old Luke sat (with a confused look) in the corn box

This year, both twins got in on the 'corn' action
Clare tumbled all over the corn,

and Luke (still with that confused look) enjoyed digging up and transporting corn with his favorite thing in the world, TRUCKS!
On our way out of the pumpkin patch we made our annual attempt at getting a good photo of both twins sitting amongst the pumpkins (we are now 0-for-3 on that count...but did get some individual shots!).

During her first visit, Clare was propped up against the pumpkins, then stood amongst them last year,

and now towers over the pile!

It's the same story for Luke, who is much more interested in posing

with the pumpkins than his sister!

Time to go!  Bless their hearts, these two (and we) were exhausted...but we will definitely be back next year!!
